Dialogue:Incorporated:Radioshow #5 | July: Double the Pleasure

Dialogue:Incorporated July. Full session from Dialogue:Inc musical curator Mister Joshua

Warm Summer Greetings all!

I doubt that the concept of two being better than one will strike any of you as a ground breaking revelation on my part. We see it everywhere in the consumer and pop world: Three Dog Night's "One is the loneliest number", Every fast food joint and their "Two for the price of One" deals, Doublemint gum and their memorable ads of beautiful young twins riding tandum down sunny streets. Who can argue with the advertising fortitude of beautiful twins?! Evidently not even the powers at be over here at Dialogue Incorporated.

In actuality the theme for this months show came up almost as an afterthought. While arranging the tracklisting I started noticing the unintentional overlap of artists, remixers, and labels popping up over and over. A perfect intro to Dialogue:Inc #5, we roll out with Henrik Schwarz's ambient piano driven "Arthur" lifted from Innervision's Muting the Noise compilation. Henrik reappears later on in the show, alongside Innervision owner Dixon, with their deliciously deep remix of Ana Brun's "Headphone Silence". The groundbreaking production duo Quiet Village are next to the fore with one of the stand out tracks from their debut full length for !K7. You'll also hear from the dynamic duo's Eddy Meets Yannah, Hedford Vachal, & Fredo and Thang. As my play on pairings continue listeners are treated to double the pleasure from featured labels Mule Musiq (thanks to strong contributions from Tensnake & Force of Nature), Sonar Kollektiv (with brilliant soon to be released remixes of 2 Banks of Four and Eva Be), Permanent Vacaton (40 Thieves & Panthers... Nuff Said), and also from Tirk (whose latest 12"s from Portlands Hedford Vachal & Norway's Morten Sorenson sat quite well side by side). Lastly, on the remix side of things, DFA takes center stage with a pair of remixes from their strongest new signings: Still Going & Holy Ghost.

In the midst of all my terrific two's I also want to point out exceptional new material from the Running Back, Sticky Disc, & This is Not an Exit labels - where Mark E, Babytalk/Hercules & Love Affiar, & Professor Genius/Brennan Green, respectively, lift the nu/cosmic/balearic disco sounds to serious heights. For Real.

With that, let the conversation begin!
